There is only one school in Point Roberts, The Point Roberts Primary School, for grades K-3. Groceries may be purchased at the International Market Place, as well as most of the gas stations with convenience stores.

Can we buy alcohol in Point Roberts?

Yes. The Washington State Liquor Control Board operates Contract Liquor Store #641 at 1334 Gulf Road #B which has hard liquor, beer, wine. The International Market Place and some of the gas stations with convenience stores sell beer and wine. Also some of the Bars and Pubs have off-sale.

How do you get to Point Roberts?

Please See Our Map. It is possible to drive, fly, boat, or even swim to Point Roberts. The Point has a small grass air strip, a very large private marina, and a 4 lane immigration station for motor vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. Swimming, although feasible, would likely result in an immigration fine for unlawful entry into the United States (unless you swam from Bellingham, Blaine, or one of the US gulf islands... 20 miles minimum). Under no circumstances should anyone walk across the border into Point Roberts except at the Border Station on Tyee Drive.

It's on its way. When it arrives, it will be located at the South West tip of Point Roberts, at Lighthouse Marine Park (as luck would have it).

Yes. Point Roberts does not have a motel or hotel, but there are some extremely nice Bed & Breakfasts, many cabins, apartments, and condos for longer terms stays, and a couple of places to pitch a tent if that's your interest. You can call Maple Meadows B&B, Oceanview Apartments, Cedar House Inn, Whalen's Campground and RV Park, and Lighthouse Park.

When is Clarks Store Open?

Clarks is no longer open for business. Maple Beach residents can go to Whalen's Campground and RV Park and get candy, pop, ice cream, ice and sundries. Check their website for hours.

Are there any public beaches in Point Roberts?

Yes. And several private acess ones as well. Public beach access is at Lighthouse Park (on the South West tip of Point Roberts), and at Maple Beach (On the East side of Point Roberts) facing Boundary Bay.

This is one of the highest police to public ratios in the County. The closest US hospital is St. Josephs' Hospital in Bellingham, Washington, about 70 minutes drive, and two border crossings, from Point Roberts. There are several Canadian hospitals which are closer than Bellingham, including Ladner, Richmond, and Vancouver General. None at this time. That could change however if you're a veterinarian looking for a nice place to live! We do have a lot of really great pets here on the Point. Over the border in Canada there are 2 vets in Tsawwassen and 2 vets in Ladner. The nearest in the USA is in Blaine.

Is there an airport in Point Roberts?

Yes. Point Roberts Air Park. A Grass landing strip is available for public use near the SW corner of Point Roberts. The strip is 2,300 feet long, 150 feet wide, grass, and runs North South. There are currently no facilities available at the strip. (i.e., no tower, fuel, maintenance, or hangers). Several restaurants are within short walking distance.
