The Point has a small grass air strip, a very large private marina, and a 4 lane immigration station for motor vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. Swimming, although feasible, would likely result in an immigration fine for unlawful entry into the United States (unless you swam from Bellingham, Blaine, or one of the US gulf islands... 20 miles minimum). Under no circumstances should anyone walk across the border into Point Roberts except at the Border Station on Tyee Drive.

the security at the border.

Yes. Point Roberts Air Park. A Grass landing strip is available for public use near the SW corner of Point Roberts. The strip
is 2,300 feet long, 150 feet wide, grass, and runs North South. There are currently no facilities available at the strip.
